Snacks, Cakes & Cookies

This is a selection of my favorite snacks, cakes and cookies. These are recipes without added processed sugar. Most of the time I use dates to provide sweetness if needed. Occasionally I use date sugar. This is made from dried dates and so I hope that it retains some fiber, unlike table sugar that contains no fiber at all.

One of my favorite recipes for a no-added sugar cake is at Manjula’s Kitchen. I substitute the sugar with 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut and 1/4 cup of date sugar.
